2023-2024 La Temporada Salvaje

En una temporada llena de emociones a flor de piel y un despliegue táctico que mantuvo a los aficionados al borde de sus asientos, el equipo salvaje de la MASL, bajo la vibrante atmósfera de la Corner Arena Sport y otros escenarios a lo largo de los Estados Unidos, protagonizó una campaña regular que quedará grabada en la memoria de los seguidores del fútbol indoor.

La aventura comenzó a finales de noviembre, cuando el equipo local abrió la temporada con una victoria arrolladora de 8-1 sobre el Empire Strykers de Ontario, California. Este partido no solo estableció un tono de dominio desde el principio sino que también marcó el comienzo de una desafíos que definirían la temporada. El Mesquite Texas Outlaws fue el siguiente en caer ante el poderío salvaje, sucumbiendo por un marcador de 12-4, evidenciando que el equipo local no solo estaba para competir sino para dejar una marca imborrable en la liga.

Sin embargo, el Monterrey Flash, el clásico rival mexicano, presentó los primeros obstáculos significativos. La serie contra ellos fue un vaivén emocional y táctico, donde a pesar del esfuerzo y la pasión desplegada, los salvajes enfrentaron derrotas dolorosas tanto en casa como en tierras regiomontanas. Estos resultados adversos, especialmente el 5-10 en la Arena Monterrey, llevaron a un cambio drástico en la dirección técnica del equipo, con la llegada de Genoni Martínez al timón, una leyenda que prometía revolucionar la estrategia del equipo.

La temporada regular terminó con un saldo positivo de 16 victorias, 7 derrotas y una perdida por shoutouts, sumando un total de 48 puntos. La ofensiva fue un punto destacado, con 162 goles a favor, mientras que la defensa mantuvo un estándar competitivo, concediendo 103 goles. Hugo Puentes, con 34 puntos, encabezó la generación de juego, seguido de cerca por Erick Tovar y Miguel Díaz, ambos con 21 puntos, demostrando la profundidad y el talento del equipo.

La próxima contienda seran los Playoffs donde se juega otro torneoque  promete ser aún más emocionante, con un equipo que ha demostrado tener la capacidad, el coraje y la pasión para alcanzar nuevas alturas. Seran los Tacoma Stars el siguiente rival donde los Salvajes tienen cuentas pendientes que saldar para poder avanzar a la final de la conferencia donde se enfrentaran al ganador de la serie entre los los San Diego Sockers o los Texas Outlwas, equipos a los cuales el savage ya les tiene medida al ganarles en los encuentros de la temporada regular.
